UCSF BCH Oakland is also a leading teaching hospital with an outstanding pediatric residency program and a number of unique pediatric subspecialty fellowship programs. The hospital annual ranks among the nation’s top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report, and is internally recognized as a leader in employing hospitalists and doctors who coordinate the complex array of patient care.

CHG was honored with the naming of the Outpatient Waiting Room at the Outpatient Center at UCSF BCH Oakland, based on a three-year accumulated donation. It’s called the Children’s Health Guild Rehabilitation Waiting Room and we are very proud to see our fundraising dollars at work in such a tangible manner.

Kind Words from UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland on CHG’s Impact

“The Children's Health Guild has significantly enhanced the care and resources available at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland through substantial philanthropic support. The unrestricted support that CHG provides allows the hospital to fund programs that insurance doesn't cover like art and music therapy, facility dog visits, social services, and more. This is critical, as 70% of the patients served at BCH Oakland rely on public insurance or are uninsured. Thanks to the support of CHG members and their valued community, we serve every child in need, no matter what.”
